Save the day by… sewing?
A few weeks ago, my daughter (4) was practicing her “sliding into home plate” move in the living room and ripped a hole in the knee of the pajama pants she was wearing. She was so upset. “They’re RUINED!”

In my head, I quickly went over the inventory of fabric that I had on hand and said, “It’s okay, we can make a new pair tomorrow after school!”
Her mouth dropped, “…REALLY!?” She was over-the-moon excited and it was a little difficult for her to wait until ‘tomorrow’. When we finally got started, she was all over it. She helped with every part of the process; measuring, pinning, and cutting. She sat on my lap and removed pins while I guided the fabric through the machine. Spending time working on this project with my girl was such a gift, and the project couldn’t have been easier to do.
